The research focus on the study of William Philips curve , applying it on Iraqi economy , and estimating the Philips curve equation using the data on the two rates in Iraq for the period (1991-2002) , therefore they could follow certain policies to reduce unemployment and make the inflation rate within the limits desired . The Iraqi economy for the period (2003-2011) flops in the phenomena of stagflation ( the relationship between unemployment and inflation is a direct correlation ) , where the Iraqi economy suffering from structural imbalances in the structure of the commodity sectors and declining role in the formation of GDP and in the operation of the components of the available work force , while oil sector alone contributing about 70% in the composition of GDP we find it does not contribute to the operation of the components of the labor force by only 2% of them , which means that 98% of the available work force , are absorbed by sectors , the percent area of 30% in the composition of the output indicates that Iraq's economy is fragile economy and the inflation case based on the superiority of aggregate demand over the forces of decline overall.
